WARP SERVICE – Job Description / Compensation


Shifts:  2nd Shift 4pm – 12am & 3rd Shift 12am – 8 am

**Pay depends on experience and production/incentive**

Job Description

On the Job Training, no experience necessary!

  • At warp-out blow off loom to include drop wires, heddles, motors, loom sides, off  loom take-ups, etc.
  • Replace ends to prepare for good tying of warp.
  • Insert lease sticks, prepare for tying, while correcting any ends out of lease.
  • Remove waste from empty loom beams, while disposing of waste into proper storage racks.
  • Locate loom beam needed for loom and place in loom (use proper safe procedures while using overhead         hoist and warp trucks).
  • Store warp jacks, clamps, lease sticks, and racks in proper place.
  • Assist pullover as needed.
  • Make every effort to have warp board caught up for following shift.
  • Correct selvages as needed.
  • Tighten beam lock caps, stop motion bar connectors as needed.
  • Take waste to designated area, weigh and record properly (keep waste separated).
  • Communicate with oncoming personnel about status of warp board, loom beams, etc.
  • Walk warp backs and help start looms.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Teamwork, collaboration and adaptability to changing work environment and business needs.
